MRAC Next Step Fund 2020 recipient Julie Koehnen’s short film “Awakening” is set to premiere at the 40th Edition of the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival 2021. This year’s festival is again virtual due to the pandemic.
Awakening is a historical drama and the sequel to Koehnen’s short film “Master Servant” (which will also be showing at MSPIFF). Awakening’s total running time is 14:00 minutes.
Logline: When a young social elite at the turn of the nineteenth century explores life as a modern woman, she risks losing the man she loves and a certain future.
