Evaluation Demystified

In this two-hour session, we will discuss the importance of building evaluation into the daily work of an organization. We will focus on how to make evaluation manageable, affordable and valuable. We’ll also cover the pros and cons of different methods for evaluation and leave plenty of time for questions, answers and scenarios.

Presented by: Kathy Graves is a partner in the firm of Parenteau Graves. Together with her business partner, Brigitte Parenteau, they have led dozens of strategic planning projects for nonprofit organizations of all sizes. As a company dedicated to increasing the organizational capacity of its clients, Parenteau Graves helps organizations build smart planning and accountability into their programs and priorities. Kathy also is the co-author and editor of Indians in Minnesota (University of Minnesota Press) and teaches writing at Metropolitan State University. She received the Minnesota Newspaper Award for feature writing for her arts coverage over seven years for the Southwest Journal, and is the recipient of The Minneapolis Award and the ARC Changemaker Award. Prior to forming Parenteau Graves in 1994, Kathy served as marketing and public relations director for The Minnesota and Virginia Operas and on the staff of U.S. Senator Gary Hart. Her board service includes the Friends of the Hennepin County Library, PACER Center, Mayflower Church, and Mind Body Solutions. She has a degree in political science and English from Colorado College.
