Masami (she/her/hers) leads Next Step Fund and supports the current grant programs. In past years she was responsible for Flexible Support, Arts Impact for Individuals, Equity Response, Arts Learning, and Arts Project Support grant programs and can still assist with project changes and final reports in these programs.
Masami is a 1.5 generation immigrant from Japan and a third-culture kid. She has more than 20 years experience in the Twin Cities arts nonprofit sector. English is a learned language for Masami, and as such, she understands there can cultural and language barriers in the grant application process.
