It’s our mission to improve arts access for communities in our region, and that includes access for people of all abilities. MRAC staff receive ongoing training in accessibility practices to ensure that all individuals and groups can apply for our grant programs.
Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to request what enables you to apply. If you have any questions about accessibility or need an accommodation, please reach out to the staff contact email for the grant you are interested in, available below and on each grant program page. You can get assistance according to your preference, usually over email, phone, or Zoom.
Contact us prior to the grant program deadline to begin a conversation about how to ensure you have an equal opportunity to apply.

General Assistance
We provide a number of resources each grant round that are available to all.
Grant Program Overview and Application Instructions
Each grant program page includes a document detailing the grant program, eligibility requirements, and application instructions. You should read this document carefully before starting an application in Submittable and before reaching out with questions. We have versions available designed for screen-reading software and other assistive technologies.
Grant Information Q&A Sessions
MRAC offers grant application Q&A sessions to allow potential applicants to ask questions in a group environment. Program staff offer two virtual Q&As and one in-person session for each round of grants. Check the program pages for times and registrations, available once the grant round opens. These sessions are not recorded.
Informational Grant Webinars
When a grant round opens, a recorded informational webinar with ASL interpretation will be posted on the program page to walk you through the grant eligibility rules and application process. We recommend you watch the video before reaching out to staff with questions. The recorded webinars will also be posted on MRAC’s YouTube channel.
Program Staff
Program staff are available to answer questions about your applications. You can schedule a meeting with a staff member (usually over phone or Zoom) to review individual/organization/group eligibility or project eligibility. To keep the process fair and balanced, staff may only provide application reviews related to eligibility. They cannot review content or make recommendations for improving the strength of the application.
Please note that staff may only answer questions about a specific grant program once its application window opens.
