MRAC improves arts access for communities in the seven-county metropolitan area through support to artists and organizations. We believe this can be accomplished with a deliberate and authentic effort to have more diversity, to practice inclusivity, and to work towards building more equitable systems.
At the June 2018 board meeting, MRAC’s Board of Directors adopted three documents that direct MRAC’s own work internally and guide our work with applicants and communities. These documents are not the end of the journey, but a declaration of MRAC’s commitment to advancing racial equity in the Twin Cities metro region.
