AnaSofía Villanueva will share her philosophy and approach to developing an ethical directorial concept. AnaSofía will demystify the process by offering a fun and hands-on methodology for how textual analysis can unlock and illuminate creative possibilities and lead to the articulation of a play’s unifying vision. While centering on directors, the workshop is also applicable to designers and actors who wish to expand or deepen their craft.
Universal Theater Explorers is a program designed to connect young people, especially BIPOC youth, to the tools necessary for skillbuilding and professional growth and form strong community connections between youth and established artists, especially multidisciplinary artists, ones with unconventional career path and artists of color.
