Presented by Julie Bates MacGillis of Julie Bates MacGillis Consulting. Julie is a biracial consultant respected for her design and facilitation of powerful programs and initiatives that advance equity and inclusion through values-based design. Mission-driven and community oriented, Julie has placed racial equity and community engagement at the center of her work for 15 years. An innovative thinker dedicated to impact and sustainability, Julie works with organizations, companies, and foundations to help connect values to action, implementing and embedding equity, inclusion, access, and organizational values throughout their work and practice with depth and integrity. Equity as Action (A Three-Part Series) offers a framework for thinking about equity as action; an approach to implementation; and new tools and practices for you to try within your work and organization. This workshop is part 2 of the series and the same session will also be presented on March 5.
Part 3, Key Mechanisms for Equity: Power, Access, and Resources, is scheduled for February 12 and April 9. You must attend part 1, Equity as Action: What do we DO differently to become more equitable and inclusive? to be able to take parts 2 and/or 3; this workshop is offered on January 22 and February 19; it was also offered in October and November 2018.
