Legal issues for Artists and Arts Organizations
October 26 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Legal questions come up daily in an artistic environment, and this training will help you with a basic understanding of many of those issues. What do copyright and trademark really mean, and how does it apply to you? Do I need contracts and if so, what needs to be included? When do I actually need to contact a lawyer? Plenty of time will be allowed for sharing and for questions.
Patty Zurlo loves helping people navigate the big picture issues as well as the details in the role of attorney and mentor. She believes that unlimited potential lies within all of us to live the life that optimally expresses our true Selves, and supports clients in that process with intuitive dialogue, excellent legal skills, and love. She is grateful for the opportunity to work collaboratively and affordably with individuals on their personal and business challenges. Patty is a former professional musician, and plays with fibers and writing in her spare time. She teaches or has taught in the graduate arts management programs at St. Mary’s University and the University of Minnesota, and is currently an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law in Arts and Cultural Law.
