HOBT Presents: Puppet Fashion Show
Saturday, April 15 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
HOBT Presents: Puppet Fashion Show, an evening of fashion themed mini puppet performances.
The idea of the Puppet Fashion show is to take materials like clothes, fur, fabric, trash, and bring them to life. The show will be structured like a puppet cabaret but with the specific theme of a fashion runway. Artists will be puppet-ing their pieces, their collection telling a story.
Get ready for an eclectic mix of performances. One artist plans for mystical chicken outfits, others will craft puppet-fashion wrestlers and some may develop the inevitable romantic tale, bra meets underwear. We’ve got artists planning puppet-filled night scapes teeming with night creatures, and others who’d like to take us on the journey of a floating, magic feather.
Performers Z Akhmetova, Nora Rickey, Lizz Windnagel, Fletcher Wolfe, Maggie Arbeiter, Emrys Mariel Stramer, Abby Palen, Lizzy Duqette, Sophie Shiff, Amber Moore, and Finley Anderson-Newton will perform their puppetry pieces! Fabulous MCs, Orren Fen and Akiko Ostlund will host and musician Taylor Johnson will provide additional entertainment.
