Volunteers are an incredible resource and lifeblood to nonprofit organizations with which they engage. Today’s volunteer wants to know specifics about the volunteer opportunity along with the impact they will be making before saying “yes” to volunteering. Show your volunteers and potential volunteers how much your organization values their contributions by sharing expectations from a 360 degree perspective. Attending this workshop will provide you with not only an expectation template for both organizations and volunteers, but in-class work time to develop documents that will bring a resounding “yes” from volunteers. We will begin the workshop with a discussion on the major components of a successful volunteer program as a grounding exercise.
Presented by Zeeda Magnuson, Consultant for HandsOn Twin Cities. Zeeda serves as the consultant to HandsOn Twin Cities, specifically working on the Service Enterprise Initiative and partners with the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration on this program. She also conducts customized workshops throughout the year, given to nonprofit and corporate audiences. Training at state, national and international conferences has offered Zeeda opportunities to see how volunteers are engaged throughout the globe. She also offers consultation services including assessments through HandsOn Twin Cities. The assessments are offered to corporate and nonprofit organizations looking to strengthen their volunteer program.
