Presented by Elaine Weber Nelson. As the principal of WeberNelson Consulting, Elaine consults with non-profit organizations in marketing and development effort capacity building. Her projects have included annual fund planning, grant writing, board and development officer training, overall development department management, strategic planning, development audits, feasibility studies, capital campaign management, marketing strategy, marketing communications, and planned giving programs. She served two terms on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and has presented at the AFP Philanthropy Day Conference and MCN conference, as well as many other workshops and seminars for organizations and foundations in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin, including three seminars for the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. She was an adjunct professor at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota for 15 years, teaching marketing principles, strategy, research and promotions at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Clients of WeberNelson Consulting have ranged from grass-roots, local organizations to international NGO’s. Elaine’s focus, regardless the size or ability-level of the organization’s staff, is to identify the barriers to moving the organization’s capacity to the next level, whether that is in board membership or training, basic or complex fundraising efforts, or marketing projects.
