As arts administrators and artists, we know in our ‘guts’ that art is powerful. In this workshop-style session, we will explore the ways art provides social provocation, reflection and inspiration as it relates to building a world that is equitable and just. Together, we’ll consider how arts organizations can actively lean into their strengths in advancing equity.

Presented by Dameun Strange, Creative in Residence, Imagine Deliver & Executive Director, Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association

Dameun Strange is an award-winning composer who imagines a world where creative institutions and artists are valued as equal partners in designing strong, equitable communities. Celebrated as an artist and activist organizer, Dameun serves as Executive Director of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) where he works to promote and support quality and diversity of artistic resources to benefit artists, art and the greater community. In his work with Imagine Deliver, Dameun ensures the arts are a central component to every client project.
