ADA Planning for Consultants

Tickets are not available as this event has passed.

This session is designed for consultants working with arts organizations who would like to add accessibility planning to their toolkits. In two hours, we will cover an in-depth introduction to the Americans with Disabilities Act and ADA guidelines as they relate to arts organizations, the process of conducting accessibility assessments of programs and facilities, and how to produce Access Plans with client organizations. Submitting a Board-approved ADA Access Plan will be a required element for groups seeking funding from MRAC’s new ADA Accessibility grant program, and we anticipate increased demand for these services. Participants in this workshop will be added to a list of consultants shared with MRAC groups seeking ADA planning assistance. Funding for consultations, up to $2000 for each group, will be available through the Management Consulting Fund.

Presented by MRAC Accessibility Program Director Scott Artley.
