On November 19, 2019 the MRAC board awarded $198,004 to 23 organizations in the Capital grant program. With Capital grant funding, grantees will be able to purchase equipment and related supplies and services, or to make capital improvements, in order to advance the mission of the group and make a significant or long-term impact to the organization.

The Capital grant funds will provide arts organizations in the Twin Cities Metro area with resources and expertise to continue with strong arts engagement with the communities. This program is intended to make structural investments in groups who are achieving both high artistic engagement with their communities and those with potential for organizational growth and advancement.

This grant program is made possible by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State’s general fund. Geographic listings represent the county where the arts organization is located; note that Minneapolis and St. Paul are listed separately from the Suburban Hennepin and Suburban Ramsey counties.

We thank our panelists who provided their time and expertise to the review of these applications: Annemarie Eayrs, Ben Krywosz, Claudette Webster, David Kang, Elena Giannetti, Gary Peterson, Jamie Schumacher, Jeremy Staab, Kate Walker, Kelli Miles, Koa Mirai, Michael-jon Pease, Mitchell Frazier, Yumi Inomata
