Now on view in the MRAC conference room is an exhibition of selections from VSA Minnesota‘s Minnesota Disability Mural Project. The exhibit features 27 works of art Twin Cities artists with disabilities and by people without disabilities with close connections to people with disabilities first exhibited in the fall of 2013 at City Center in downtown Minneapolis. The 1-foot x 1-foot art tiles were created that summer by Minnesotans with disabilities or people with a personal connection to someone with a disability.
For many, the art-making was a first-time experience. For others, this exhibit is the first time they have had their artwork on public display. This exhibit also bids farewell to VSA as it will be sun setting in September 2019. Read more about this here.
The show is on view through the end of August. Regular viewing hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, but please call or email to assure the space is available at your preferred time. 651-645-0402 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
