Caponi Art Park and Ananya Dance Theatre are Awarded the 2016 Arts Achievement Award
 
The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) Board of Directors is proud to announce the selected groups for the 2016 Arts Achievement Awards. This year, we honor Caponi Art Park and Ananya Dance Theatre with this award. Each group has been  given a cash award of $5,000 for their outstanding achievements and commitment to the arts. The MRAC Arts Achievement Award recognizes two organizations each year that particularly exemplify MRAC’s mission of increasing access to the arts in 7-county metropolitan area communities.

 

The nominations were reviewed by the MRAC Board of Directors based on how arts groups exemplify MRAC's vision for the region by organizations can be nominated or may nominate themselves for the MRAC Arts Achievement Award. Accompanied by a cash award of $5,000, the MRAC Arts Achievement Award is intended to call attention to outstanding contributions that arts organizations with budgets under $400,000 make towards strengthening communities in the 7-county Twin Cities metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington.)
 

MRAC 2016 Arts Activities Support 

 

 
The Arts Activities Support program provides grants of up to $10,000 in project support for groups wishing to offer quality arts activities in any discipline to communities within the seven-county metropolitan area of Minnesota. Grant requests may include costs for artists and other personnel, facility and/or equipment rental, postage, supplies, printing and other expenses necessary to carry out the project.

2015 Arts Achievement Awards

The MRAC Arts Achievement Award recognizes two organizations each year that particularly exemplify MRAC’s mission of increasing access to the arts in 7-county metropolitan area communities.

Organizations can be nominated or may nominate themselves for the MRAC Arts Achievement Award. Nominees must meet MRAC eligibility requirements for at least one other MRAC grant program. The MRAC Board of Directors reviews the nominations and selects up to two recipients.

Accompanied by a cash award of $5,000, the MRAC Arts Achievement Award is intended to call attention to outstanding contributions that arts organizations with budgets under $400,000 make toward strengthening communities in the 7-county Twin Cities metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington).
